A month-long investigation by the New York Daily News reports campaign contributions paid to City Council members by real estate groups. Councilwoman Maria Baez (D-Bronx), who was part of a task force to oversee redevelopment of the Kingsbridge Armory, reportedly received $9,000 in campaign donations from the Related Companies, who won the Armory redevelopment bid. The Atlantic Development Group, who lost to Related, reportedly donated approximately $13,000 to Baez.
